Josh Montague · Training Leaders International
The greatest need of the
global church is
trained pastors.
A mission partnership

The work
Around the world, churches are growing faster than pastors can be trained. Most of the men shepherding those churches will never have access to a seminary. Josh goes to them.
Train
Josh travels overseas several times a year to teach pastors to understand and communicate the Scriptures — book by book, from Genesis to Revelation — men who would otherwise have no formal theological education at all.
Multiply
Every pastor Josh trains is urged to pass the training on to others. The goal is not a dependency but a multiplication: trained men training men, long after the trips end.
Send
Josh raises his own support and serves through the partnership of local churches — congregations that pray for the work, give toward it, and send their own people into it.
Meet Josh
After pastoring for fifteen years in Michigan and Wisconsin, Josh began serving as a US-based missionary with Training Leaders International in 2014. He serves as a teaching elder at Cross of Grace Church in Chaska, Minnesota, and travels regularly overseas to train global church pastors. Josh and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Carver, MN with their two sons and two daughters.

Mission partnership is one of the great privileges of the local church: a congregation praying for, providing for, and sharing in work it could never do alone. Josh is asking Sovereign Grace churches to consider that kind of partnership — beginning with a new three-year training effort in the Philippines. Please pray for wisdom, and for the provision of funds and teachers.
